As-salāmu 'alaykum, my name is Sami T. Naseem, 19. I'm a first-year law student and the founder and creative director of Mubdi Media, a food and beverage content agency founded last June, which has since worked with over a dozen clients in the halal food scene. Beyond titles, though, I love to read, write, and speak (no pun intended) on all things politics, comparative religion and theology, globalism, business-related stories, and more.
That same love is what gave birth to this very blog, a space where we'll discuss all things I am, of course, passionate about, yet also, and more interestingly so, in opposition to as well. Whether it's current events, theological discussions, or strategic plays in levelling up, spiritually, financially, and beyond — everything is centred simply around my religion: Islam.
And why should it be any other way? Too often, as Muslims, we have grown far too comfortable in the watering down of our already perfected faith, succumbing to the pressures and ideals of the Western frame, thus losing our Islamic identity along the way — paving an unfortunate prospect for our future where confusion is rampant and clarity is scarce. Collectively, we should actively attempt to prevent that: to stop the dam from leaking, to grow closer as an ummah bound by the preservation of our forefathers, by the preservation of Allah. And by Allah, we will preserve, we will preserve our identity, we will preserve our culture, and above all else, we will preserve our religion. May Allah ﷻ make it so. Ameen.
